Join Alley and learn the techniques and materials needed to make natural dyes. During class you'll prepare an avocado to make a pink dye, plus learn to the steps for creating other colors on your own. Alley will demonstrate the steps and show you what's possible. Because of the time it takes for these dyes to pigment, you will be going over the steps to create the dye in class but dyeing fabric on your own after class.

  • Requirements: Must have computer or phone with Zoom app
  • Skill Level: All levels welcome
  • Ages: Adults (teens 15+ welcome)
  • Supplies: 3 Avocados, spoon.

This event is limited to 15 participants, while multiple users can share the same screen please do not share the Zoom link.

Meet the Instructor: Alley graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and began her namesake fashion collection that she describes as romantic and whimsical. After moving to Brooklyn, she continues to design fashion and costumes and teach art and science.

Waiver: Please note The Fashion Class requires a waiver form to be signed for all participants under eighteen years of age by their parent or guardian prior to attending a class, camp or workshop at The Fashion Class.
