Portfolio Development and College Fashion Admissions Prep Workshop for Teens

Join us on Saturday December 14th for an exclusive Fashion College Prep Workshop just for Teens!

We welcome students currently in the admissions process as well as students curious about the admissions process into the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Parsons School of Design and Pratt's Fashion Design BFA Programs.

Our guest speakers are college professors, currently teaching in the Fashion Departments of Pratt, FIT and Parsons. Their advice is priceless and will give your teen an insider look at the admissions process to Fashion Colleges everywhere!

What We'll Do:

3:30-5PM Illustration Development by Nina Edwards: We will briefly go over the portfolio requirements of each college and discuss how to actually make a professional portfolio for digital submission. Class will then learn sketching techniques to create their drawings and examine methods to develop a neat and proficient portfolio.

5-6:30PM Admissions Requirements and Essay by Susanna Moyer: The group will delve into the actual admissions process; how to apply, when to apply and discuss the all important Admissions Essay. With Susanna's unique experience on the admissions team for the Fashion Institute of Technology, the class will learn what topics to avoid, how to structure the essay and more.

This preparatory class is a brief overview of a very broad topic, while we are excited about the expertise our guests bring to this workshop, we cannot guarantee your child admission into any college through their participation in this workshop.
