Learn how to turn your designs into actual clothing that you can make again and again in this pattern-making course for Teens 13-17yrs!
Ever wonder how clothing goes from sketch to actual fabric? The answer is a pattern! Paper patterns are how most designers transfer their ideas into a real and wearable garment. In this class, students will learn how to take their own measurements and turn them into a pattern for a basic top and a basic skirt. Class will go over the different terminology such as darts and notches to learn how to not only create their pattern, but use it as well.
Students will test their patterns using muslin, a plain cotton fabric, and leave class with their patterns, clothing sample and knowledge of how to make the complete garment at home!
Class takes place on Saturdays 10:30-11:30AM, just before Fashion Design and Sewing for Teens. Save 15% on this class when you also register for the class above. Use code FASHION15 at checkout!
