Calling all animal lovers! We've partnered with Pillows for Paws for an amazing cause - making bedding and other comfort items for shelter pets.
PFP's mission is to support a positive environment for shelter animals. The group does this by providing items such as cozy beds to comfort them, toys to keep them active, and yummy treats. When an animal feels supported and loved, they have a greater sense of ease, trust, and calm. Then, they also have a better chance of being adopted.
To do this, we're offering a free sewing workshop on May 15th from 3:30PM-5PM for adults, ages 18 and up. For any who sign up, you're welcome to take a free and gently used sewing machine HOME AND JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER SEWING PROGRAM. We're hoping that by teaching you to sew, and how to make an easy project (I.E. cat crate curtains), you'll continue to create comfort items for shelter pets at home!
WITH 25,000 ANIMALS SURRENDERED TO THE SHELTER EVERY YEAR AND NO FUNDING FOR BEDS, THEY ARE ALWAYS IN NEED.
