Fashion + Sewing Summer Camp for Teens - NYC 2022

Join us as we create real clothing (your designs) from start to finish!

July 18th -July 22nd and July 25th - July 29th 2022

The Fashion Class is a fashion-program that teaches teens sewing, draping, marketing and merchandising all throughout the school year and summer. We have a gorgeous storefront studio on the Upper East Side featuring a state of the art sewing room, and art classroom. Our camp instructors are graduates of fashion and art programs at some of the best fashion schools in the world, like Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Our fashion camp is for serious fashionistas who want to make their designs and dreams a reality! Perfect for beginners and advanced sewers and those looking to build a portfolio for school admissions.

Each week will involve sewing in our fully equipped studio, fashion design & illustration plus a fabric shopping trip and guest speakers to give insight into this fabulous industry. Our teen designers get to choose their own fabric from Mood Fabric Store (featured on Project Runway) on the first day of camp. All fabric and supply costs are included in the camp fee. Campers will travel via subway, with their instructors, to the fabric store (and the garment district) on Day 1 of camp. Check out our printable brochure.

• COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION

  We will be following New York State guidelines along with the CDC and local officials’ guidelines and recommendations with respect to social distancing and capacity limits. This information is subject to change as the situation evolves.

  • Sewing machine desks will be spaced 3 feet apart.
  • Students will have dedicated supplies and sewing machine, this means their own scissors, pins, sewing, and drawing supplies that will not be shared by other students in their camp.
  • We will continue to sanitize our studio, bathrooms, supplies, and sewing machines before and after each camp day.
  • Camps are drop off only. In order to maintain social distancing our waiting areas are now part of the classroom.
  • Face masks are no longer required in our studios. All staff members are vaccinated.

Daily Schedul

• 9:30 -11:30am Sewing in the studio
• 11:30am-12noon Lunch (please pack a lunch or, students may leave the studio with written parent permission
• 12-2pm Fashion Industry Lessons and Guest Speakers
• 2-4pm Fashion Illustration & Creating a Fashion Brand

Payments & Policies:

Non Refundable deposit of 30% required to hold your child's spot in camp, to pay the deposit only please call 646-329-6663. Balance is due one week prior to camp start. 

Waiver: Please note The Fashion Class requires a waiver form to be signed for all participants under eighteen years of age by their parent or guardian prior to attending a class, camp or workshop at The Fashion Class.
