Fashion Illustration for Kids - Fall 2022

Learn the Art of Fashion Design in our 6-7-week illustration class for kids, a must for any future fashionista!

Children 6-12 yrs old will discover the art of designing clothing in this fashion design art & illustration class. First the students will learn to draw the elongated fashion figure. They’ll then sketch poses, design accessories, clothing, and learn to render different types of fabric (like lace and sequins).

Each week builds on the week prior so that students continue to practice and hone their drawing skills. 

Class takes place on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays for 30 minutes, just before or after Fashion Design and Sewing for Kids making it the perfect addition to your child's sewing class.

Classes meet once per week for 6-7 weeks. Fall season 2022 class options are:

• Wednesdays 6 Classes 9/14-10/26 (no class 10/5)
• Thursdays 7 Classes 9/15-10/27 
• Saturdays 7 Classes 9/10-10/22

No class on: Sept 26-27 for Rosh Hashanah, Oct 4-5 for Yom Kippur, 10/10 for Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day

Missing classes? We can accommodate one make-up class per student during their course.

COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION

We will be following New York State guidelines along with the CDC and local officials guidelines and recommendations with respect to social distancing and capacity limits. This information is subject to change.

• Sewing machine desks will be spaced 3 feet apart, we are using our entire studio to accommodate a group of ten students.
• Students will have dedicated supplies and sewing machine, this means their own scissors, pins, sewing, and drawing supplies that will not be shared by other students in their class.
• We will continue to sanitize our studio, bathroom, supplies, and sewing machines before and after each class.
• Sadly, we will be unable to hold a fashion show at the end of the season.
• Masks are no longer required in our studio.

Waiver: Please note The Fashion Class requires a waiver form to be signed for all participants under eighteen years of age by their parent or guardian prior to attending a class, camp or workshop at The Fashion Class.
