Pattern & Stitch Advanced Sewing for Tweens - Late Spring '23

Is your child ready for the next level of sewing? In this 7 week advanced course for tweens, students will sew a project with a commercial clothing pattern, just like the professionals do!

In Pattern & Stitch Advanced Sewing students (ages 10-12) will learn how to use commercial patterns to make a wearable and fabulous garment! This season we will make a gathered shirt and a matching bottom (student's choice of pants, shorts, or skirt).

Alongside completing project one, students will learn the terminology and symbols of a commercial pattern so that they can work with them independently at home. Pattern and stitch runs at a slower pace than Fashion Design and Sewing, allowing students to cut their pattern to size, iron their fabric pieces, cut, and sew their garment. 

This class is designed as a continuation of Fashion Design and Sewing, it is sewing at an advanced level and students must have taken at least two prior seasons of Fashion Design and Sewing.

Class Options:

• Sundays 11:45-1:15PM 6 classes 4/16-6/5 (no class 5/14 & 5/28)
• Tuesdays 4-5:30PM  7 classes 4/18-5/27 (no break)

Waiver: Please note The Fashion Class requires a waiver form to be signed for all participants under eighteen years of age by their parent or guardian prior to attending a class, camp or workshop at The Fashion Class.
